Spoteq is committed to making spoteq.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes the accessibility level the site meets, the adjustments it provides, the limitations we are aware of, and how to reach us if you run into a barrier.
1. The standard we meet
This website is built to conform to Israeli Standard 5568 (ת"י 5568) at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013. That standard adopts the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines of the W3C at Level AA.
Conformance is verified with automated testing (axe-core, run against every public page in both Hebrew and English) together with manual checks: keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader review, text resizing to 200%, and colour-contrast measurement of the site's colour tokens.
2. Accessibility adjustments on this site
The site provides the following, on every page and in both languages:
- Full keyboard operation. Every link, button, form field and menu can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Skip to content. The first item reachable by keyboard is a "Skip to content" link that jumps past the header navigation.
- Semantic structure. Headings are properly nested, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) are marked up, and lists and tables use real list and table elements — so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Correct language and direction. Hebrew pages are declared as Hebrew with right-to-left direction, and English pages as English, so a screen reader pronounces each page in the right language.
- Text alternatives. Informative images carry alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology instead of being announced as noise.
- Colour contrast. Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio the standard requires (3:1 for large text), and colour is never the only way information is conveyed — links in body text are underlined as well as coloured.
- Forms that explain themselves. Every field has a visible label, hints are linked to their field programmatically, and errors are announced to screen readers rather than shown only as a colour change.
- Reduced motion. Animations and scroll effects are switched off automatically for anyone whose system is set to reduce motion, and can also be switched off from the accessibility menu.
- Accessibility menu. A button on every page opens a menu offering larger text, a high-contrast mode, permanently underlined links, and a switch to stop animations. The choices are remembered on your device.
- Responsive layout. The site reflows down to a 320-pixel-wide screen and supports zooming to 200% without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
3. Using the accessibility menu
The accessibility menu opens from the button marked with a person icon, fixed to the bottom corner of every page. You can also reach it with the keyboard: press Tab from the top of the page until the button is focused, then Enter.
The menu is a supplement, not a substitute — the site is built to be accessible without it. It runs entirely in your browser, sends nothing to any third party, and stores your preferences only on your own device.
4. Known limitations
We publish limitations we know about rather than claiming a level we have not reached:
- Third-party content. The contact forms are delivered to us through an external service. Its own pages are outside our control; if that service presents you with an inaccessible screen, contact us and we will take your message by email instead.
- The Spoteq mobile app. This statement covers the website spoteq.com only. The iPhone, Android and smartwatch apps are separate products and are not within its scope.
- The management console. The management area of this site (the /admin section) is an internal tool restricted to Spoteq staff. It is not a public service and is not covered by this statement.
5. Reporting an accessibility problem
If you come across a page, control or document on this site that you cannot use, we want to hear about it. Write to support@spoteq.com and tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and — if you can — the browser and assistive technology you were using. That detail lets us reproduce the problem instead of guessing at it.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within a few working days and to fix confirmed barriers as quickly as we can. If a fix will take time, we will tell you what the interim alternative is.
