This policy explains what information Spoteq ("we") collects when you use the app, the smartwatch app and this website (the "Service"), why we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

2. How we use information
To provide and improve the Service; to show spots, forecasts, statistics and rankings; to run the social features; to send notifications you asked for; to keep the community safe; to prevent misuse; and to comply with the law. We rely on our agreement with you, your consent (for example for location and health data), our legitimate interest in running a safe service, and legal obligations.
3. What others can see
Your profile and the content you post are visible to users according to your privacy settings. You can make your account private, so that only followers you approve see your posts and sessions; hide profile details; and stop appearing on the Live map. Your live location is never shown to anyone you blocked or who blocked you.
4. Messages
Private one-to-one messages are encrypted and stored encrypted. To let you restore your history on a new device, the encryption key is stored on our servers with restricted access. If you turn on message previews in notifications, a short preview of a new message is kept for up to 24 hours. Group messages are not encrypted and are visible to group members.
5. Content screening
Photos, videos and text are screened automatically for prohibited content before others can see them, and may be reviewed following a report.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for targeted advertising. We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting and storage, notification and email delivery, content screening, error diagnostics), who are bound by confidentiality and security obligations at least as protective as this policy; with other users, for content you choose to publish; and with authorities where the law requires it or to protect someone's safety. A business's live camera stream is delivered directly by its streaming provider, under that provider's privacy policy.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we apply appropriate safeguards as required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account) it is deactivated immediately. After 30 days its details, content and uploaded files are deleted. Moments are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Some information may be kept for a limited period where the law requires it or to handle violations. See the account deletion page.
9. Your rights
Under applicable law, including the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law and the GDPR where it applies, you may request access to, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can revoke location, health and notification permissions at any time in your device settings. Contact support@spoteq.com. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may complain to the Privacy Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.
10. Children
The Service is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and restricted access. No system is completely secure.
12. Changes
We will update this policy from time to time and will notify you in the app of material changes.
